Capturing Vermont: Waterblogged

Sunset over Burlington Bay with breakwater lighthouse, red sun, and skiff
When it comes to choosing a photography subject, it can be hard to decide what to go with. Here in Vermont, there are simply too many options to choose from!

One subject that produces amazing photographs without fail is our old friend, water.

Whether it’s a placid and clear river or a roaring creek, Vermont has plenty of the wet stuff just waiting to be photographed.

One thing that makes aquascapes such good subjects is their variability. With the right environment, a photographer can capture almost any emotion that they might be looking to evoke in the viewer.

As much as we love the liveliness of Otter Creek, Vermont is also a fabulous location for taking peaceful water photos.

Lake Champlain is a great place to get these serene and almost somber shots.

Not only is Lake Champlain home to our favorite lake monster Champ…it’s also a bustling ferry port. And what’s not to love about ferries?

Hopefully, we’ve inspired you to appreciate all the amazing aqua that the state of Vermont has to offer!

So the question is, water you waiting for? Dip your toes into water photography and capture the magic yourself!

Vermont is a truly water-ful state.

Cheers,
Jonathan
